Okay so on Thursday, after MUCH debate, I decided to sell my body for money. AKA donate plasma. Can I just tell you how much I HATE doing that? But I really want to have as much money as I can for DC so I am going to do it as much as I can force myself to. Last week there was this guy sitting across from me listening to his ipod while he donated and he was getting SO INTO his music! Like head-banging and singing and everything! I just wanted to yell, "Hey dude! No one else can hear your music so instead of looking cool like I think is what you were going for...you just look like an IDIOT!" But I refrained. I'm nice like that. There was also this guy next to him that was staring at me the whole time! You know how usually when you're staring at someone and they look at you, you then look away and try to act like you weren't even looking at them? Yeah not him. He just continued to stare. It was so awkward! Something else that I find hilarious is that I've been mistaken for someone else three times there! The first time there the lady totally acted like she knew me and said, "Glad you came back! I was like uhhh this is my first time here haha. Also, I got asked, "You work at Qwest right?" Or "Your name is Brittany right?" It's kind of hilarious.
So on Thursday night after work I drove down to Logan, Utah because my cousin Tara was getting married the next morning and she asked me to do her hair for her wedding. But I had to be there at like 8:45 a.m. so I figured instead of leaving at 6 AM I would go that night and stay with my bestie Hayley Jo Reese. It was way nice to catch up with her and see her. She's so awesome. So anyway I'm going to skip the boring parts now except I am going to add that her hair ended up looking AMAZING! I was very proud. So after the wedding we had a luncheon at this way nice restaurant in Logan called Hamiltons. So good. BUT we didn't get to pick our own seats. Instead they assigned seats for us almost at random and I got stuck next to my cousin Alex (thank goodness), my cousin Tanner that I haven't had a conversation with in probably 4 years, the groom's brother and his wife who are sooo awkward and not fun in any form, some random kid that was like 8 and got separated from his family (poor kid), and the groom's CRAAAAZZZYY grandpa. I'm telling you that man never shut up and he didn't even make sense half the time. I wish I could remember the weird stuff he was saying...but I can't. Oh well :)
Then after the luncheon we had to hurry back so that we would make it for the reception. My cousin is so lucky to be related to my family haha jk but really I did her hair, my dad and sister Aimee did her pictures, my sister Kristy did her cake, and my sister Lora threw her bridal shower. All for free. So yeah, we rock :) haha we always joke that our family is like the wedding family. We have a wide variety of talents. So anyway we drove back and Lora and I stopped to see my Grandma that lives in a retirement home in Pocatello. Man, she's losin it. She has a really bad short-term memory so she'll ask you a question and almost immediately ask you the same question over again. She's going downhill really fast and it makes me sad. So we got home and then had to leave pretty soon after that to head over the reception so that I could touch up on her hair and so that my sister could drop off/finish up the cake. The reception felt like it lasted forever but it ended up with my favorite activity ever...DANCING!! Haha and the best part was my mom was dancing with me and it was making me laugh so hard. My mom is seriously the best. She was the only person over the age of like 30 on the dance floor. She's a nut I love her.
The next day was "Sister Day"! It was awesome. We started with making breakfast. We had crepes with a bunch of really yummy toppings. Then we went shopping, then went to the movie "Life As We Know It" (which by the way is so dang cute), then went shopping for fabric and went and made headbands and bows, then we got ready and got looking nice and cute and went to dinner at Jakers. Then afterwards came home and played Scattagories and then went out for Blizzards. It was SUCH a fun day. I seriously love my sisters so much. They are hilarious and so much fun to be with. I'm lucky to have like 4 of my best friends related to me. It's the best. Watch this:
Last night the funniest thing ever happened. My neighbor a few houses down has Alzheimers and we have found him in our backyard a couple times in the past month or so just wanderin around. Well last night he just walked into our house, got a drink of water, and walked into my mom's room. He asked, "Did you lose something? I'll help you find it." Seriously broke my heart. He is the NICEST guy ever I just love him. My dad walked him home and his wife said that she heard the back door shut and she went to go look for him but he was gone. It was way dark outside so luckily he walked into our house so that 1. he didn't walk into a strangers house and get the cops called on him and 2. he didn't get lost somewhere and not know how to get back. I don't wanna get old...but I do want to help old people. Not a huge fan of changin old people diapers and bathing them or anything but I would totally be okay with helping them psychologically if that makes sense. One of the many things you can do with a Social Work degree! YAY!!
K I'm done.
