So for the past few weeks I have been working out at the BYU-I gym after work and I have been enjoying my experience so far. Let me tell you why.
1. The girls in the dressing room know me by name now and pull the correct sizes of clothing out for me before I even check in. I don't even have to tell them what number my lock is/my last name anymore after I'm done working out. I think it's funny. One of the girls is super nice and she must work a whole lot because she is there every single time I am. Maybe someday I will introduce myself and we can be friends....for now she is dressing room girl.
2. Since the amount of people that are in Rexburg during the seven week break are limited...so is the amount of people that work out at the gym. The funny part about this is that it is the exact same people working out every time I go. I have come to recognize people and what machines they use most. There are, on occasion, new people but it doesn't happen very often. That reminds me haha...today there was this asian boy that I did not recognize and I thought it was odd that I had never seen him at the gym before because like I said, I recognize most people that are there. Today I was watching him attempt the elliptical as I was doing my work out. Generally I try not to judge people by how fast they are going or how much they are sweating but this boy was a work of art. Doing the elliptical for him a full body effort. I realize that for most people it is a good work out for the arms and the legs but when I say full body effort I mean LITERALLY a full body effort. He looked like he was doing a combination of slow-motion running, crunches, and dodging stuff with his head. I actually "LOL"ed. haha. I hate those three letters but they seemed appropriate. Anyway...don't judge me for judging. You would've laughed too.
3. This should really be first because this is the number one reason why I've been enjoying going to the gym but I thought I'd save the best for last. Let's just call him Mr. Mcstudly pants...because no. I don't know his name. But I do know that he likes to start with the bike, then go and lift weights, then run on the treadmill, then continue to lift weights, then stretch :) haha. And I also know he is very sweaty by the time he finishes. Rawr. We usually exchange smiles and it's nice but nothing is ever going to happen. Except today we walked up the stairs together. And I pretended in my head that he was my boyfriend. Haha okay no that was a joke but we really did walk up the stairs together. It was bliss. I LOVE YOU MR. MCSTUDLY PANTS!
That's all for now. G'night!
Love,
Joy
