Happiness Prevails!

Despite my current lack of social interaction, finances, and weight loss, I am still SO HAPPY! Life really is so great. I have a great family that is there for me no matter what, a great job that really does lift my spirits, and the gospel which brings me so much peace and comfort! I am not quite sure how I got so lucky.

Let me tell you a little bit about my weekend...

So Thursday night I rented the movie Gamer to watch with my sister Lora, my brother Joe, and my sister-in-law Necia. It was weird. It was the clean flix version so it either cut out some really important parts or it is just kind of a weird movie. It was only an hour and ten minutes long..haha good ole' clean flix. Anyway we got chips and made rootbeer floats, watched the movie, and then just talked for an hour or two afterwards before heading to bed. I had a lot of fun I really enjoy hanging out with my family. But I felt like complete poop for eating so much crap. I really can't eat any junk food anymore without feeling SUPER guilty about it later. It's kind of a good thing...kind of not.

Anyway so I felt like such a bum for eating the junk that I went on a 3-mile run Friday morning and then rode my bike about 4-miles to my sister's house where I was keeping an eye on her dog Daisy. I played with Daisy for about half an hour, and then rode my bike back home. I felt very accomplished. But I learned one very important lesson that day...bikes make my butt hurt.

That night I went to the playmill with Lora, Courtney Cook, and 4 ladies from my home ward. They are all so funny that it didn't even bother me that they are all married with children and I was hanging out with them on a Friday night. They know how to have fun! haha. We saw the play the Foreigner and it was just about the funniest thing I've ever seen in my entire life! I laughed so hard. I recommend it to everyone.

We got back at about 2 am and I took Courtney to her car on my way over to Holli's to sleep/watch Daisy. I was a little nervous about staying there by myself because house noises scare me but I didn't really have a choice considering Lora declined my request to sleep over there with me. I got there and just had to stop myself every time I started to think scary thoughts. Like you know when you hear a creak in the floor and you automatically assume someone is sneaking around the house trying to rob you? Yeah, I had to stop myself from thinking those things. But I kind of enjoyed it. Just me 'n Daisy May!

Saturday night I went over to my oldest sister Aimee's house with Lora to watch a movie. We watched the classic House Bunny and despite all of our technical difficulties we were able to get through all of it. I never get sick of that movie it just cracks me up every time. "I gotta meet this freakin' bird!!"

Today was quite the crazy day. Went to church where my mom needed Joe, Ben Hopkin, Lora, and I to help out in Primary by explaining some stories about Christ healing the sick and raising the dead. That was fun. Anyway, when we got home we had the blessing of my brother Joe's new baby Lila Belle Cooper and then had a big birthday dinner for my dad who just turned 58 yesterday! Wow, he is gettin OLD! Haha. There were so many people there and it was chaos the entire time but it was such a great dinner! Just ask my sister Aimee; she heard me say how good I thought it was like 20 times while eating. It was good okay?! :)

Overall, it was a great day. Lots of time with the fam and lots of good food! Sorry no pictures. I never take my camera with me anywhere these days. Night!!

Love,
Joyyy
