What a day!

Haha wow. So I started out this blog complaining pretty hard core about this lady at work (don't worry Elise it is no one that is related to you, I'm sure you know who I'm talking about though haha), and for some weird reason my computer just shut down. My charger was plugged in so I know it didn't die and that has never happened before so I have come the conclusion that it was a sign that I need to stop complaining about her. But I still want to tell the story that I was going to tell.

So anyway to sum up what I was typing about before, work was pretty crappy today, but I had an amazing experience. I had been running behind and I had so much to do. On top of that, the kids were seriously crazier than I have seen them in quite a while. So I was flustered and frustrated. One kid, let's call him George, was in a time out in the kitchen where I spend most of my time. The other kids were out in the big room and George had tried to beat this other kid up, let's call the other kid Bob, because Bob had been teasing one of George's friends; therefore, George had to take a time out. Well, it was time for Bob to go home, so he came into the kitchen to grab some stuff that belonged to him. George kept yelling, "Bob! Come here there's something I want to say to you." And I just kept telling Bob to ignore him because I was SURE that whatever George had to say was going to be rude and inappropriate and would probably start another fight. So Bob did as I asked and ignored George. Then after many more attempts, George said to me, "Miss Cooper, I'm trying to apologize to him." Taken almost completely off guard I agreed to let Bob go over to talk to George. George said, "Bob, I'm really sorry for what I did earlier." And Bob responded with a quick, "It's okay George. See ya tomorrow!" And started heading for the door. I was shocked. I didn't have to coach George, force George, or bribe George to apologize. Nor did I have to coach, force, or bribe Bob to forgive him. I immediately thought of the scripture that tells us that we should be like little children. How many broken relationships would be rekindled, marriages would be saved, and grudges would be freed if we were as quick to apologize and forgive as these children had been? It was an experience that I hope I never forget, especially with the help of this handy dandy blog! Anyway, hope that wasn't boring. Because my blog isn't over yet!

Day 3 - Your idea of the perfect first date.

uhhh SOMETHING PLANNED!!
Seriously though. And no matter what type of first date it is, it's gotta be something where you have some time to talk. If it's a single date, something creative and fun. Like a picnic outside, feeding the ducks, getting ice cream, and going on a walk around the river. Or if you are somewhere that something like that isn't available, maybe making dinner together or making cookies together and delivering them to a retirement home. I would love if my first date with a guy was some act of service. Oh that would just melt me! K that's all for now. Goodnight ya'll!

Haha I love that you through in that they weren't related to me, and that I did know EXACTLY who you were talking about. I freakin' love you!
